How to enable WhatsApp Backup
Open the WhatsApp app on your mobile/smartphone and go to Settings. Tap the three-dot icon in the top left corner of the screen and you’ll be taken to the app’s settings menu.
You will now be taken to the Google Drive Settings page, where you will need to set the frequency of backups daily, weekly, monthly, or manually as desired.
And you can also find the account option you need to select the Google Account you want to back up all your WhatsApp data. A backup override allows you to choose between your WiFi and cellular data. If you want to back up your videos too, then select the Add Videos option.
Disabling the Google Drive Backup feature:
This backup feature is definitely good for WhatsApp users, but only allows Google users to store up to 15GB, and after that users have to pay for more storage and in that case, if you want to use the storage space Google Drive for other purposes, then you need to disable this backup feature. Here’s how to do it.
To do this, one has to go to their official Google Drive page and click on the Manage Apps option. Find WhatsApp Messenger and then click Disconnect from Google Drive. You have done this with Disabling Backup for your WhatsApp.
