The Poco M2 India launch is scheduled for September 8 and the company is revealing some details about the phone every day. After confirming that the POCO M2 will be the most affordable 6GB RAM phone, the company has now revealed that the device will be shipped with an FHD + display.
The upcoming POCO device will still be the cheapest phone from the brand and will cost Rs 10,000. POCO M2 is the stripped-down version of POCO M2 Pro, which launched in the country a few months ago.
There is even more information on the POCO M2 specifications. We don’t yet know the display size, processor, camera setup, and battery capacity of the upcoming smartphone. The teaser images so far show that the phone comes with a water drop instead of a punch-hole cutout as seen in the POCO M2 Pro.
To recall, the Poco M2 Pro features a 6.07-inch full HD + display with a resolution of 1,080 × 2,400 pixels, a punch-hole cutout, a 20: 9 aspect ratio, and a Corning Gorilla Glass 5. It has 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage which is further expandable via microSD card along with the Snapdragon 720G. It runs on MIUI 11 custom skin on Android 10 OS. Connectivity features include 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and USB Type-C port for charging and data sync.
As for the cameras, the Poco M2 Pro has a quad-camera setup with a 48MP primary sensor, 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, 5MP macro lens, and 2MP depth sensor. Upfront, it has a 16MP snapper for selfies and video chats. There is a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and P2I nano-coating, splash and dust resistant for safety. The POCO M2 Pro has a 5,000mAh battery and supports up to 33W of fast charging.
