Realme 12 series information revealed
- Realme GT 5 Pro is rumored to be the brand's first phone with a periscope telephoto camera. The phone comes with a Sony IMX890 periscope zoom unit with 3x optical zoom.
- Other flagships like the OnePlus 12 and iQOO 12 series feature the OmniVision OV64B 64MP periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.
- According to Digital Chat Station, the Realme 12 (probably the high-end Pro version) will also use the OV64B periscope zoom unit.
- The tipster claims that the Realme 12 series will be a mid-range offering with a focus camera. These can also start early next year.
Realme 12 Pro and Realme 12 Pro are expected to have model numbers RMX3842 and RMX3840 respectively. These may be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 The chipset vanilla Pro model may feature a 32MP Sony IMX709 telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom, while the Pro+ may come with a 64MP OV64B periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.
Realme GT Neo 6 chipset and launch timeline
Separately, Digital Chat Station has also claimed that Realme is working on the Realme GT Neo 6 as a successor to the GT Neo 5. It will come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The tipster says that the phone will launch after Chinese New Year, which probably means by the end of February. However, no other details about the flagship or the Realme 12 series have been revealed at the moment.
Earlier rumors had revealed that there would be a Realme GT Neo 6 Come with aluminum frame, The handset is expected to be priced under RMB 2,000 (roughly Rs. 22,900).
