PCMark's dedicated battery test gives a good idea of ​​battery life under the best conditions. We tested with flight mode enabled and the brightness and audio levels adjusted to 50 percent. We also made sure that the Realme GT 6T and iQOO Neo 9 Pro were fully charged at the start of the test.

Interestingly, the Realme GT 6T lasted about 13 hours, while the iQOO Neo 9 Pro lasted an additional hour (14 hours). The test automatically stops when the battery percentage drops to 20. The iQOO Neo 9 Pro took the lead in the PCMark test despite having a relatively smaller battery.

We also tested the battery life by playing a high-resolution video on YouTube for 30 minutes. For a fair competition, we made sure that the temperature of both smartphones was the same at the start.

In the video streaming test, the Realme GT 6T took the lead by consuming only 3 percent of battery. The iQOO Neo 9 Pro consumed 5 percent of battery at the end of the round.

It is important to note that this translates into different figures due to the different battery sizes of the two smartphones. Notably, the average battery drop for the Realme GT 6T was 385mAh, while for the iQOO Neo 9 Pro it was 361mAh. This shows that the iQOO Neo 9 Pro is more efficient.

As mentioned, the Realme GT 6T and iQOO Neo 9 Pro get 120W charging support. It is good to see that the brands are providing a charger with the same output in the box. However, in the case of iQOO, there is a PD charger in the box, which can be very useful for charging laptops as well (if there is PD support). Both smartphones lack wireless charging.

We started the charging test from 20 percent. The Realme GT 6T took 32 minutes, while the iQOO Neo 9 Pro was fully charged in barely 23 minutes. Note that the latter may take less time as it has a relatively smaller battery, yet it is not much different.

In our battery tests, the iQOO Neo 9 Pro emerged as the winner in most of the tests. The Realme GT 6T took the lead in the video streaming test. However, both smartphones gave a tough fight to each other, and the difference is marginal.

It is also important to note that the base model of the Realme GT 6T is more affordable. There is also a 512GB storage option, which is priced at Rs 39,999, which is Rs 1,000 more than the top variant (256GB storage) of the iQOO Neo 9 Pro.
