India launch date of Samsung Galaxy M55 5G, Galaxy M15 5G revealed
- Samsung Galaxy M55 5G, and Galaxy M15 5G Will be launched in India on 8th April. The launch event is scheduled to take place at 12 noon.
- The sale of the new Samsung phones on Amazon India has also been confirmed. Dedicated pages for both devices have also gone live.
- Apart from the launch date, Samsung has also teased key specifications about the Galaxy M55 5G and Galaxy M15 5G, although both the phones have already been launched.
Ahead of launch, Galaxy M55 5G and Galaxy M15 5G India prices leaked online, The price of Galaxy M55 5G is expected to start at Rs 26,999 for the 8GB + 128GB base model. It is said that it will come in two more variants of 8GB+256GB and 12GB+256GB which are priced at Rs 29,999 and Rs 32,999 respectively.
The base model of the Galaxy M15 5G with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage will reportedly be priced at Rs 13,499, and the other variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage will be priced at Rs 14,999.
Samsung Galaxy M55 5G specifications
The Samsung Galaxy M55 5G features a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED Plus display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1,000 nits peak brightness. Under the hood it runs a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The smartphone has a 50MP primary sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP macro camera. For selfie you get a 50MP front camera.
The Galaxy M55 5G also packs a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging support. The Indian variant is getting 45W fast charging, which is similar to the flagship Galaxy S24 series. On the software front, it runs on Android 14 with One UI 6.1 layer on top. The Samsung Galaxy M55 5G comes in two color options: Light Green and Black.
Samsung Galaxy M15 5G specifications
The Samsung Galaxy M15 5G comes with a 6.5-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ SoC paired with Mali-G57 MC2 for graphics. The chipset is paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, which can be further expanded via a microSD card.
The phone has a 50MP primary camera, 5MP ultra-wide camera and 2MP macro sensor. There is a 13MP unit on the front for selfies and video chats. On the software front, it runs on Android 14-based One UI. Samsung also promises four years of OS upgrades and five years of security updates for the Galaxy M15 5G.
The smartphone also packs a 6,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging support. It comes in three color options: Celestine Blue, Stone Grey, and Blue Topaz.
