The bezel sizes of the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max have been leaked and it's a new smartphone record

According to a reliable report Tipster Ice universeThe iPhone 16 Pro will have just 1.2mm bezels and the iPhone 16 Pro Max will have even thinner bezels at 1.15mm. For reference, the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max had 1.71mm and 1.55mm bezels.

With such thin bezels, the iPhone 16 Pro series will have Thinnest bezels on any smartphone to date,

Another leak reported in March gave us a hint about this, stating that Apple is reportedly using BRS (Border Reduction Structure) technology for four upcoming iPhone models. This will involve bending down the wiring and circuitry near the edge of the panel to achieve the desired result.

Apart from the reduction in bezels, the dimensions and weight of the device have also increased. According to rumors, the iPhone 16 Pro will now measure 149.6 x 71.45 x 8.25 mm and weigh 221 grams, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max will measure 163.02 x 77.58 x 8.26 mm and weigh 225 grams.

iPhone 16 models rumored to have display improvements

Along with the reduction in bezels, the iPhone 16 series is expected to have the following display improvements over the iPhone 15 series:

  • Large Display: The iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max will feature 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch displays, respectively.
  • Micro-lens technology: an array made up of billions of micro-lenses placed in a uniform pattern inside the panel, Reducing internal reflections, increasing overall brightness and reducing power consumption.
  • Better brightness: 20 percent brighter display, 1,200 nits at HBM level; and 1,600 nits maximum brightness for HDR content.

Production of displays for the iPhone 16 models is expected to begin later this month. LG will make the displays for the Pro models, and BOE will make the displays for the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus. While Samsung will make the displays for all four models.

Apart from display improvements, the iPhone 16 series is expected to include the latest A18 processor, a new physical pressure-sensitive 'capture button' for taking photos and videos, and a 5x telephoto lens on the iPhone 16 Pro for the first time. A 48MP ultra-wide-angle Camera, and more.
