Vivo Y38 5G spotted on IMDA, NCC certification sites; Design and key details revealed

Vivo Y38 5G design, key specifications leaked

  • As seen, the model number of Vivo Y38 5G is V2343 previous report, The same device has appeared on IMDA and NCC certification sites.
  • The IMDA certification confirms that the Vivo Y38 5G will come with 5G and NFC support. The smartphone supports these 5G bands: n1, n3, n7, n8, n28, n38, n41, and n78.
  • On the other hand, the NCC certification contains a set of images that reveal the design of the Vivo Y38 5G from all angles. The phone has a punch-hole display with rounded edges. The USB Type-C port, headphone jack and speaker grille are located at the bottom, along with the volume rocker and power button.
  • The rear camera module is circular with two sensors along with an LED flash and looks like Vivo's 'Aura Light' ring.
  • The NCC listing also reveals that the Vivo Y38 5G will pack a 6000mAh battery with 44W fast charging support. This is based on the model numbers of the charging adapter and battery of Vivo Y38. It was also spotted on the Bluetooth SIG listing.
  • The smartphone will launch in two variants with 8GB RAM + 128GB and 256GB storage options, with the option to expand up to 1TB via a microSD card slot.

On Geekbench, Vivo Y38 5G was spotted with Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, 8GB RAM. The handset scored 3092 points in the single-core test and 7035 points in the multi-core test. As per the Geekbench listing, the smartphone will also run Android 14.

Vivo Y39 5G launch date (rumored)

There is no official announcement on Vivo Y38 5G yet but it is expected to launch in May. The smartphone will probably launch in China first before coming to other markets.
