WhatsApp is adding new features

WhatsApp is adding new features to give its users a smoother messaging and calling experience. The app is constantly updating it. The Quick Message App has recently added several features. The most important and awaited feature of this is the release of the beta version of Dark Mode. Here are some of the latest updates that are getting or developing early this week for Android and iOS users.

Dark Mode Feature
After nearly a year of waiting, WhatsApp recently rolled out the Dark Mode feature for Android and iOS users. This feature is currently only available in the beta version of Android and iOS App, but will soon be available to all users.

Available in Beta Epic
If you want to use the Dark Mode feature, you can download the latest Android beta version of the app if you can’t wait in the stable app. However, due to the beta version download limit being exceeded in the Google Play Store, the APK version needs to be downloaded.

How Active Is Dark Mode?
The blog has shared screenshots of how to enable Dark Mode on Android phones. To enable the feature, you must first update to the latest Android beta version of the app. Then go to Settings> Chats> Display> Theme> Dark Theme and enable.

Dark Splash
Gives Dark Splash Screen In iOS Beta Update For iPhone Users. This is already enabled by default. Further, the twisted forward button icon, updated group and profile icons, support dark colors. The app’s top bar icons have also received updates.

Animated Stickers
Another interesting feature that may be coming out soon is animated stickers. In its latest WhatsApp beta update for Android, it tested support for a pack of animated stickers. Such stickers are already available in Telegram and other chat apps. It is expected to add this animated sticker pack to the Stickers tab, which already exists in the app. Users will be able to forward these animated stickers to other contacts, such as forwarding stickers and GIFs.

Self-destructive messaging feature
Although currently available in the beta version of Android, this update automatically deletes the message after a specified period of time. Once available, the ‘Delete Message’ feature comes with a toggle on/off button and users can select a specific time for the messages to disappear automatically. There are five options to choose from 1 hour, 1 day, 1 week, 1 month and 1-year options. Similarly, the messages sent to that chat will disappear.
