iPhone SE 4 will come with an OLED display made by BOE, not Samsung: Report

  • Samsung Display offered to sell each panel for the iPhone SE 4 at $30 (roughly Rs. 2,500), while Chinese companies offered prices ranging from $35 to $40 (roughly Rs. 2,900 to Rs. 3,300) per panel.
  • However, the US-based tech giant reportedly asked for a lower price of $25 (roughly Rs. 2,000) per panel.
  • It is also rumored that the iPhone SE 4 will have a similar design to the iPhone 14 and include support for Face ID.
  • According to the report, iPhone SE 4 shipments are expected to reach around 15 million units.
  • It is worth noting that Apple has not yet made any disclosure regarding this matter.

iPhone SE 4 specifications (expected)

The iPhone SE 4 is rumored to come with a 6.1-inch OLED display and a 48MP primary camera. Based on recent CAD renders, it is expected to have a notch shape similar to the iPhone 13 or 14 series, accommodating the Face ID module.

The dimensions of the device are estimated to be 147.7 x 71.5 x 7.7 mm. Additionally, the phone may feature an action button and a USB-C port, while its battery capacity is speculated to be the same as the iPhone 14.

In related news, the tech giant recently announced The World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2024 will take place from June 10 to June 14 at Apple Park in Cupertino, California. The event is open to all developers and attendance is free.

Developers will have the opportunity to interact with Apple experts and gain insight into new tools, frameworks, and features. Additionally, an in-person experience session will take place on June 10, allowing attendees to meet Apple team members and participate in special activities.
