Microsoft announced on Tuesday that it will release its updated Surface Pro X in India. The device (SQ 2/16/256 GB LTE variant) is available at a starting price of 1,49,999 through commercial authorized resellers. The Surface Pro XSQ 2/16/512 GB LTE (Platinum and Black) Model 78 is available for 1,78,999.
The updated Surface Pro X comes with a new configuration, including Microsoft’s Next-Gen custom processor and improved Platinum finish. It is said to offer a new app experience, which helps to achieve a longer battery life. Microsoft says users can expect higher performance on all Surface Pro X devices.
“Earlier this year, we introduced Surface Pro X in India to push the boundaries of what is always a connected, ultra-light and incredibly thin 2: 1 device,” Rajiv Sodhi, Chief Operating Officer of Microsoft India, said in a statement. “We now bring new updates to the Surface Pro X, including new app experiences, enhanced performance, and a new Platinum finish.
Surface Pro X Specifications
The Surface Pro X comes with a 13-inch pixel sense display with 2880 x 1920 pixel resolution and 297 PPI. It has a 3: 2 aspect ratio and supports 10 multi-touch.
On the software front, it runs on ARM on Windows 10 Pro and comes preloaded with Microsoft 365 applications. The device runs on a Microsoft SQ1 / 2 processor. It also features a firmware TPM chip for enterprise security and BitLocker support.
It comes with a 5-megapixel front camera with full HD video support. On the back, it features a 10.0-megapixel autofocus camera with 1080p and 4K video support. It features Dual For-Field Studio mics. The device also features 2W stereo speakers with Dolby Audio Premium.
In terms of connectivity, the Surface Pro X comes with two USB Type-C ports, 1X Surface Connect Port, Surface Keyboard Port, and 1X Nano-SIM and is compatible with the Surface Dial Off-Screen dialog.
“Microsoft Edge and Microsoft teams are optimized for Windows in ARM with newer versions, faster using less battery, plans to extend support for running x64 apps. For developers, the Visual Studio Code has been updated and optimized for Windows in ARM. The configurations get 15 hours of battery life, ”the company added.
