Realme 12 and Realme 12+ 5G launched in India, receive BIS certification

Realme 12 and Realme 12+ have received BIS certification

  • Realme 12 5G and Realme 12+ 5G are listed on the BIS website with model numbers RMX3868 and RMX38667 respectively.
  • The listing was published on 24 January.
  • Although the listing does not reveal any key specifications or hardware details of the phone, the BIS certification is the best hint to suggest that the phone will be launching in the country for the first time.

Realme 12+: What we know so far

Realme 12+ has been spotted on MIIT certification with model number RMX3866. However, the global model will have the RMX3867 model number. The listing includes renders of the phone, which features a large circular camera module, boxy chassis, and a punch-hole cutout for the selfie shooter. We see a vertical-metallic strap running down the middle of the back panel.

Apart from MIIT, Realme 12+ has been spotted TDRA, NBTC and FCC certification with the same RMX3867 model number. The certifications reveal that the phone will run Android 14 OS out of the box and offer 5G networks and NFC connectivity options. The Realme phone is likely to have a 5,000mAh battery and 67W fast charging support.

Realme 12+ has also been spotted Camera FV 5 certification and this suggests that the phone will come with a 64MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture and 8MP ultrawide sensor with f/2.0 aperture. There may be a 16MP shooter on the front for selfies and video chats.
