Codename of entry-level variant of Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 leaked, may launch later this year

Codename of affordable Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 reportedly revealed

  • According to Samsung's import/export database of foldable smartphones, another device has been spotted alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6.
  • The internal code names of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 are said to be “Q6” and “B6” respectively. Another internal model number for Samsung's foldable called “Q6A” has been found to have existed for over a year now, according to a report By winfuture,
  • Judging from the codename, the A here may mean the second version of the Galaxy Z Fold 6. This could possibly be the cheapest version of the flagship foldable we have been hearing about for so long.
  • However, this is still subject to speculation as we have yet to see concrete evidence of a cheaper Galaxy Z Fold 6. But multiple reports and leaks suggest that the next-generation Samsung foldable could have a launch this year.

Samsung was first Rumored to be working on 'Galaxy Z FE', which will also be a more affordable foldable. It will also be the first foldable to join the Galaxy FE (Fan Edition) lineup.

The launch timeline at Samsung's Unpacked event is predicted to be during the second half of 2024, which typically falls in July or August. We'll reportedly be getting three foldables in total, including the regular Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Galaxy Z Flip 6.
