Xiaomi is preparing to launch its highly anticipated 14 series smartphones in China this November. Rumor has it that these devices will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, which is expected to debut in October.
The 14 series phones, including the Xiaomi 14, Xiaomi 14 Pro, and Xiaomi 14 Ultra, will all come with periscope zoom capabilities, which will give users enhanced optical zoom capabilities, allowing them to capture distant subjects with precision. The 14 Pro’s periscope telephoto camera is rumored to have a 5x optical zoom and 115mm focal length, while the Xiaomi 14’s camera will have a 3.9x optical zoom and a 90mm focal length.
The Xiaomi 14 Pro is said to have three 50-megapixel cameras on the back, consisting of a primary sensor, an ultra-wide lens, and a zoom camera. Reports suggest that the front-facing camera of the Xiaomi 14 Pro will be capable of 4K video recording. Additionally, rumors have circulated regarding the Xiaomi 14 Pro’s display options, suggesting it may be available in both flat and curved-edge display variants.
Both devices are expected to be powered by a 5,000mAh battery, with the Xiaomi 14’s charging capabilities ranging up to 90W and the Pro variant possibly offering 120W charging speeds. The Xiaomi 14 Ultra will launch in Q1 2024 in China.
